Turf Reinforcement Mat Anchors

Given the advancements of their strength and hydraulic performance characteristics TRMs are being considered for more demanding channels, steeper slopes and even for shallow slumping applications. Turf Reinforcement Mat Anchor Systems are corrosion resistant anchors that provide ultimate mechanical strength and durability when utilized in demanding applications where standard staples and geotextiles pins become the “weakest link” of the TRM application.

1. TRM Anchors consist of the rotating anchor head, Stainless steel cable, clamp button stop and UV protective disk.

2. After the TRM has been placed, the TRM Anchor assembly is driven into the soil using a sledge hammer, impact hammer or other device.

3. After the anchor is driven to the proper depth the drive rod is removed.

4. A number of different options can be used to insert through cable end loop. The cable is pulled by the device, rotating the anchor to the locked position.

5. The stop button is crimped above the disk and the excess is removed with a wire cutter.

6. Project and soil specific technical support is available in terms of anchor selection, spacing, proof testing, etc.
